It took me a very long time to decide on the creation of Barbary Lane OES breeding. I have had OES for 17 years before actually taking the step of having puppies. It gave me time to think.
My first Old English sheepdog was: Ebony and Ivory’s Gin Fizz (Nicknamed “Gaufrette”). She arrived at home because I simply thought these dogs were splendid. My second OES was Half Past Two of Mary People (Nicknamed “Hiver”). She also came to live with us because she was beautiful but above all, Gaufrette had shown me that it was a friendly breed. That was it! I had found the type of dog I wanted: beautiful, friendly, full of consideration for you, a real tireless clown.
I fully share my life with my dogs. They live in the house (with other animals), I take them everywhere, to the market in town, at my friends’, and they love going on holiday with me. Having said that, they are not “spoilt children”, they don’t sleep in beds and don’t eat in plates.
Being fully responsible for them, I’m trying to have happy and serene dogs.
All my dogs take part in exhibitions (In France and abroad) so that I can get different points of views; they are rated according to the standards established by the “Bobtail Club de France” (French OES club) and are X-rayed for dysplasia so that the future puppies won’t have any health problems and will correspond to the demanded standards.
The puppies are born and grow up in my house so they are quickly used to humans, other animals and to the different noises in the house…
In seventeen years, I haven’t changed my mind. My passion for OES hasn’t weakened a single bit.
Don’t hesitate to contact me, I will be very pleased to share it with you.
